Penang State Museum

THE PENANG State Museum, which was formerly the Penang Free School, was partially destroyed during WWII by aerial bombs. It houses old photographs, maps and historical records from the days of Captain Francis Light. Light’s statue used to be placed in front of the museum. It has since been moved to Fort Cornwallis where it was originally placed by the British.
