Convent Light Street or The Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus, founded in 1852, is the oldest girls school in Penang and Malaysia. In the beginning, it was also an orphanage and a boarding school where some of the regional elite sent their daughters. Today, the school has been integrated into the national education system.
