Fort Cornwallis

VISITORS to Fort Cornwallis will get a glimpse of how George Town began as a British trading outpost. The fort was completed in 1805 and is the largest fortress of its kind in Malaysia. Named after the Governor-General of India, Charles Marquis Cornwallis, the fort now houses an outdoor performance theatre and a small museum.
