THE Hock Teik Cheng Sin, commonly known as the Hokkien Tua Pek Kong Temple, was founded in 1844 and moved to its present premises six years later. It had been associated, in the past, with secret as well as legitimate societies, which is why it is known by a plethora of names. The temple has recently been renovated.
