DR SUN Yat Sen, the Chinese Nationalist leader, lived in Penang for about six months together with his family in 1910. This house at 120 Lebuh Armenian was used as his base although he lived elsewhere, at a house along Jalan Dato Keramat which has since been torn down. The Kwong Wah Jit Poh, started by Sun and his followers in these premises in 1910, is one of the oldest Chinese newspapers in the world.
