Pintai Tali Mosque

Founded by an Achenese clan leader in the 19th century, the Pintal Tali Mosque served as a base of the Malay secret society called the White Flag or Bendera Putih. Its members comprised Malays, Indian Muslims and Peranakan Jawi. It derived its name from the word rope as a number of people living there spun ropes.
